‎96.SHITE FM‎

‎“Yooouuu’re listening to the guuulf’s nuuuuuuuumber ooooonnnne! Radio ‎Bahraaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiin!”‎

Fuck off with that ancient fucking jingle I’m fucking sick of it! Why the fuck are we still ‎using it? It may have been good back in the fucking seventies but face the facts people ‎the world of radio is evolving TRY TO CATCH UP! And who said 96.5 was the gulf’s ‎number one? It’s fucking shit! You should see the state of the studio. It’s absolutely ‎horrendous! Like a fucking prison cell! They didn’t change anything since they first ‎started! Even the phone when you call 17780780, you think there’s like a fancy ‎switching system to organize the calls? No, no. It’s a small wooden box with 12 light-up ‎buttons of which 3 are only used for lines. So the next time you call DJ Damian (real ‎name Gupta Kumar) you will know why it takes so fucking long for him to answer.‎

<-- Borat

But respect for DJ Damian for making the radio a bit less grimace-inducing as it used to ‎be. At least the guy speaks proper English and plays up-to-date music of a variety of ‎types. Radio Bahrain made the right move when it came to him and Krazy Kevin. But ‎then why the fuck did they keep that pedophile sounding DJ what’s-his-face who all the ‎Philipino women love? You know, the guy that says “well hellooooo… juicy groovy” ‎OH MY GOD SHUT THE FUCK UP! And who the fuck taught you how to speak ‎English? Borat??? Also, I heard this guy the other day… something Dawood can’t ‎remember although I should coz he’s a fucking dumbass... He kept boasting about how ‎he’s part of the “new youth generation taking Bahrain by storm.” La storm wala hom ‎ya7zanoon you’re a repetitive idiot with a mic my friend. Although respect to the track ‎selection homeboy you got it laid down. Too bad you can’t speak English properly or do ‎a decent mix!‎

And what’s with this attitude that the radio was made for the foreigners? I don’t know if ‎it was originally but come on! It’s doesn’t take a genius to figure out that most of your ‎listeners are Bahrainis! We speak English too you know. And even those who don’t ‎know a word of English still listen to some western music at least! You know like Bob ‎Marley or the Eagles (some of them only listen to those two, and by the way, only one ‎eagles tune: “Hotel California”). Hell you can see sand-niggers of Isa Town singing a ‎Bob Marley song like they were brought from Jamaica itself, yet they can speak ZERO ‎English let alone understanding the language. You got teeny boppers calling in every ‎morning and every afternoon on the way to school and back. Shouldn’t that be enough of ‎a hint for you stupid asses? Why service the needs of the minority of people who make ‎up the foreigners and leave us the Bahraini western-music fans to be the supplementary ‎beneficiaries? ‎

Acknowledge and address us you idiot DJ fucks: We’re Bahraini. So FUCK THIS, I’m ‎gonna go listen to my Gypsy Kings CD.‎

radio bahrain needs a change...

it's seriously cruel what they're doing to us making us listen to the same music over and over and over again. What i dont get is people have been complaining about the station since god knows, in the GDN and even callers that call up the shows, but nothing happened so far...

and yes it IS very disturbing if the DJ sounds likes he's feeling himself everytime he's on the air "well hello...hello"

well anonymous,
It seems like you're one of the messed up people of Bahrain, IF you were in Bahrain in the first place, to like what this shitty radio station has to offer, they keep playing the same songs and the same style, and you're okay with that? Get a life! Goddamn one-note r&b songs.

Ladies and gentlemen, Radio Bahrain knows about our blog! Yesterday, DJ Damian mentioned saying, "The reason I don't answer the phone as fast is because of our [shitty] phone, just like a certain blog mentioned." (Wow he wasn't pissed off we told the world his name is Gupta Kumar).

Yeah, baby! This is a milestone for us so congratulations to all LiB team members and contributors! And thank you to our followers that spread the word of the LiB phenomenon!

you guys are all evil, and misinformed. Radio Bahrain is not a box cabin and the picture you posted isn;t right either, Radio Bahrain is now in the Ministry of Information. So go get a bunch of CDs and listen to them and dont listen to 96.5, if you had any decency you wouldn't sack people like this, they are human beings as well. Do u think u are better than them Hell no, I'm sure you have many ugly sides.

I enjoyed your comments very much, every and each one of u thinks his flavor in music is the best, u probably think oh i can go there and do a major change and play my stuff coze my music is the best, well dont we all think in the same way. at least thats what i thought when i joined Radio Bahrain.

The main reason i joined the dj crew is because of the accent of old DJ Ahmed AL Khena. it got on my nerves, along with the limited choice of music.

I agree with u that some of the DJs dont speak proper english, I also agree that some play crappy music but i dont agree that they all play the same music type, DJ Andrew plays Alternative, Subah plays trance & underground and we have DJ Kareem who plays Jazz. i'm surprised why none of u commented about my show, I'm the one who plays D&B, Trance & Chill.

you got to show respect inorder to be respected.

So what's the solutions -- we've heard the hate comments, brushed them aside, do you have solutions that we can consider and take forward to the management of 96.5 or is this all just a war of words?

If it was just as war or words, why bring Damian's real name into the picture - even though he was pretty cool about it on the radio during his show this evening when he mentioned "Now we all know why it takes me so long to answer the phone just like it was seen on some blogger site, Oh we shall not go there again..."

I didn't realize that comment moderation was on! I turned it off, plus now what's with the shit that you anonymous guys are spewing? We mentioned earlier that we use this language to highlight, if you don't like it, don't come back, it's as simple as that, what's funny to some is offensive to others, we never said our style of music was the best, or that we could be better DJs, why would I want to DJ anyways?

Again, keep the cussing to yourself, we cuss on our blog to highlight anything we don't like, not to swear at people themselves.

We will keep things going the way they are. If you don't like it, simply don't come back.

Judging by the following we have and the emails and comments we recieve, a lot of people support us, and it's silly retards who feel offended by us who now are making the most noise after hearing that we bashed at radio Bahrain.

Intoxicated, if you're right about anon #4 being DJ Ebrahim then I commend him for being one of the better DJs of radio Bahrain.

One last thought, AGAIN I repeat, I didn't say that ALL of radio Bahrain is shit but it does need improvement and they should hire DJs with good accent and good selection of music. Not just someone who knows how to construct a few words like a lego piece and his daddy knows a few folx down at the MOI.

11:38 AM, December 29, 2005
Anonymous Anonymous said...

Intoxicated aren't you the drummer dude at UCB? Anyways rock on!

Now to all those dimwits cussing the LIB team here... bottoms up to you :D

And.. for goodness sake.. get that damn website of yours working.. radiobahrain.net -- seriously what is that shit you guys got on there? A couple of images with the meta words as 'Listen to Live High Quality Music'? seriously, what is that all about? all I could see is a bunch of gif images, text and some ugly blue color!

Do yourselves a favor and hire a proper web system development team like FlipMedia -- same folks who do the BahrainGP.com website ;-)

Either park radiobahrain.net or launch it in all it's glory when it's done!

But don't do this crap job of putting it out there and telling all the staff at the station - "Hey we got a cool website" -- @#$@

And guys please let's not bring the MOI into this - what wrong have they done to deserve the radio Bahrain crap? For all we know the MOI is going into something called the Ministry of Tourism and Culture.

MO-Jay needs to go! (Sorry dear -- despite the sad voice you played with last night afte reading this blog -- you deserve one thing - to get booted - either that or stop with the crap mixes - and START WORKING!)

Suba (the man with the demented O...) -- you aint' being funny with the 'poking fun at the indian' accent', Dude you're giving the station a racist look - come off it but your alternative rock tracks are great!

Kevin - Try to flash your tits on TV but don't talk about them on air ;) and please stop playing all this old Bathiya and Santush crap.. can't you get with the other Asian progessive rock and rnb ;-) Apart from that all your flirting live on-air with the news presenter (can't rememeber her name now...) is pretty err.... & you deserve better

Sammy da bloody whammy -- please please.. spare us playing with your 'oh hello.. oh hello' we know you you get horny on-air... so cut all those Nadia Nyce crap from your laptop and stick to playing the music!

Damian - it's all power to you! & you deserve better

Marie Claire or MC as you hate it -- why is such a good voice and soul like you still stuck at radio bahrain? You deserve better, kick off the belts and leave lady! Your mixes are awesome -- you deserve more of the likes of Milan and London! You go girl!

LIB Team keep up the good work.. you people hit the nail on the head and drove radio bahrain home with it's crap!

Anonymous Anonymous said...

You know what? I think we SHOULD have our own show on Radio Bahrain! We can discuss all the crap that happens around here cuz our people need to know!

And you know what? If radio bahrain take us on, we'll promise not to swear on the air :p ha shraykooooom?

5:34 PM, December 29, 2005
Anonymous Anonymous said...

your best bet would be to get an half hour on Kevin's show or whenever MC is spinning!

Someone socked Damian after he passed this blog's link via email around the station -- don't think he'd take the risk now - that's a pity though...

and 'some' people have got all daggers pointing at Ian's every move - so he's out of luck as well.

How about you guys shoutcast/iceast yourselves via an internet radio staion? If you really want to take on 96.5fm head on, start a net station, web cast for audiences from the ME and ME students in North America, Asia and Europe and then talk to the BRTC via the GDN ;-)

Before you do any talking, etc. be sure you have statistics of listener ratings of radio stations, etc. the trends in music here in Bahrain, etc.

Obviously the 'controllers' at the station don't believe in listeners' opinions as we saw at that quick meeting today evening!

Good Luck Lib team!

Habibi! just screw 96.5fm and the likes of the bad DJs there!

Go talk to the right people -- either the media (Tariq Khonji/George Williams, etc. -- Don't bother with the turban newspapers - they do more damage than good) or the BRTC PR people who have a say in how the radio bahrain is run.

Rashid Bumjaid (rashid@bahrian.gov.bh) -- 17871717

Moh'd Al Meer (almeerm@bahrain.gov.bh) -- 17871733

Rashid is head of PR and Entertainment there and Moh'd is senior PR.

You want to improve 96.5, then talk to them first and then the media.

BIG HINT: Do not SWEAR with these people!

GulfGT members had the same to say about 96.5 6 months ago (http://www.gulfgt.com/forum/showthread.php?s=5d986d945311a5ed735d93dc1a238ab8&t=12861&page=1&pp=20)

so will we continue to swear? why not :p

So We heard that our name was mentioned on this blog and here we are!

Sure radio bahrain sucks, but then we haven't been listening to it for like4 years, prolly 'cos we have been away at college listening to good dxb or itunes had something to do with it.

Let us tell you all a little story about 96.5fm:

In total there are 16 DJs at radio bahrain who are-

Krazy Kevin
Ian Fisher
Marie Claire
Damian D'Costa (Sanjay Gupta?)
Mohamed Rumaihi
Kareem Shamma
Fadi Haddad
Aref Koheeji
Khalid Bokkhamas
Sammi Ebrahim (horny whammy)
Andrew Swain
Ali Dawood
Sabah Sadiqi
Nader Shirawi
Jo Lincoln
David Bloomer
Mohamed Janahi
Ebrahim Abbasi

From the list, the DJs to avoid listening to are:

Mohamed Rumaihi
Kareem Shamma
Aref Koheeji
Sammi Ebrahim (horny whammy)
Andrew Swain
Ali Dawood
Sabah Sadiqi
David Bloomer
Mohamed Janahi

So that's like more than half of the the dj crew at radio bahrain, you have our sincere sympathies o' listeners :-)

DO NOT TUNE INTO 96.5FM during the following timings and days:

SATURDAY- 6pm to 12 midnight
SUNDAY- 9pm to 12 midnight
MONDAY- 9pm to 12 midnight
TUESDAY- 6pm to 12 midnight
WEDNESDAY- 6pm to 9pm
THURSDAY- 9am to 9pm
FRIDAY- 6pm to 9am & 6pm tp 9pm

And to those people who said Dj Sabah or the demented silent fool is racist = not exactly, He has got something called 'Multiple Personality Disorder'. Some say he is Bahraini and married to an Irish lady, some say he's a Pakistani Bahraini (that is ok) and thats why his accent is sometimes funny, others say he is a Irish-Bahraini-Pakistani Wannabe - no one really knows his origins - but who cares, as long as he plays good music and stop talking crap on air.

Sabah may have slight traces of racism in his bloodstream but for a fact - he is SEXIST and a WOMANIZER. You may ask Ester Guhloon (news reader) down at the station for more details on that. (Continue on to part 2 -- there are somethings that not many know or talk about, Kev calls it the dirty rat of radio bahrain)

INTOXICATED. R U such a fuckwit that U can't tell a fake posting from a real one? DJ SUBAH'S name has been mis-spelt (twice on this page).Arabs never spell it "SABBAH" or "SUBA".. I wonder if u guys R actually Bahraini as u claim??? Anyway, power to that weirdo for the url mention cause as far as I know, we've never been an underground cult just whispering opinions to a selected few .. but can someone please tell DJ SUBAH to tone down some of the over-the-top self indulging music. AS far as the rest go... I won't even bother wasting my time.

Shedders darling!

sorry to disapoint you but the demented one's real name is spelt as follows:

Sabah Sadiqi

Now Shedders - he might not be an arab according to you ;-)

Apparently as he claims his day-time job is being a Web Prescence Manager.

So you all think sabah got into Radio Bahrain with capital W-asta?

WRONG!

Demented dog got in because he had 4 years classical training at The Baharin Institute of Music not including 5 years of Jazz and Classical theory studies at Pittsburgh State University.

However - what da fuck is he doing playing trance at radio bahrain? he should be playing jazz and shit, kareem shamma's joint! He should take over from that freaky kareem. (so in fact he might have got into radio bahrain with education but they placed him to do the wrong job)

Oh wait... so he's got education but no experience?

WRONG Again!

He was on guitar and vocal with many Indie bands in the US & UK such as Iron Fist, K9, Relayer and Bahrain's very own Osiris. - Musically Adept!

In the past Sabah has been spinning at the uni station in Pittsburgh, ROK FM and MBC FM. Plus he's produced and composed his own mixes, released records too!

And guess what?

Subah or whatever demented term he calls himself hates Bad DJs too! Being his sex-buddy for over 3 years, the one thing I know he hates is people who can't face the truth! Which means he agrees with almost everything said here, he's on your side and trying to clean up from within the station!

The only fucked-up thing about Sabah is he got placed in the wrong job at radio bahrain, he's all extreme rock classical dude, they made him play trance and push us all to hell!

Sabah plays original stuff unlike Damian who downloads all his mixes from other dj sites on the internet!

11:39 AM, December 31, 2005
Anonymous Anonymous said...

was refering to "intoxicated", "former 96.5 fan" and "Anonymous 5" about not being Bahraini... I know that Sabah (thanks 4 the spelling correction)is Bahraini (from Al Hoora).
But as far as I know DJ's at 96.5 choose their own music and are not forced to play any style... or am I wrong?

12:17 PM, December 31, 2005
Anonymous Anonymous said...

Djs are expected or rather required to play a certain style but due to the past few years of dirty deals they have been let off the hook.

And however brought up Damian's real name -- sanjay gupta: that can't be because his roots are from Lahore in Pakistan although he was born in Bahrain and is more of a Bahraini than a Pakistani - a Bahraini with a Camden-town type accent.

Also this blog might face a ban or block in Bahrain if it doesn't put up a disclaimer soon since someone at the station who goes by the nick name of the demented one has complained to the MOI. Unfortunaltelyu what the ignoramus at the station do not realize is if they ban this blog, then they would be blocking blogspot users from using the service in Bahrain, in a way another skype-type story like what happened in the past.

About Damian downloading songs from the internet and playing them on-air, etc. that is true but alteast he is trying to improve the music at the station though he is not being original at all. And anyway DJ ebrahim Abaasi does the same on his D&B show -- he downloads tracks from the internet but atleast he claims they are not his and points listeners to where these tracks can be downloaded from!

But about Sabah being a racist although he has the Pitsburg slate in him, he sure doesn't like Germans - kept calling them Nazis during one of the backstage concerts in Bahrain a few months ago - sound crew from Likwid wil tell you more. (He is a wannabe Chelsea fan too!)

And its not Ester Ghuloon, it's Ester Ghuloom!

Whether Kevin is flirting on air or whether Sabah and Ester are having an affair in the studio - who cares: just as long as they play the mixes right no one will give a hootz to their personal lives!

Kareem Shamma got into Radio Bahrain becuase of his Dad, you see his dad was one of the first people to start the BBC Arabic Radio service.

Mohamed Rumaihi is a djs supervisor not because of his influence but because he can never say no to people. And there fore people take advantage of his weakness, he is the puppet of 96.5fm, there fore you hear bad music, because apart from having a sniff of scottishness in him, he allows all the DJs to play whatever they want to due to the loophole in the Radio Bahrain employment contract -- all DJs at Radio Bahrain are freelancers and paid by the hour.

Freelancing means you do get a say in what tracks you could play despite the required music styles.

David Bloomer is more of a outside broadcast radio dj interviewer, Andrew Swain the same. Truesay that they drone on the radio.

This is sad, very sad. To think back then we all tried to nuture Radio Bahrain into the best in the Middle East and now all that is left is a useless Radio Station. Good Ole Mark Morrell would be rolling in his grave is he knew the nonsense going on down at the radio station.

Oh lads! you need to get stocking.

I am a listener of Radio Bahrain 96.5 FM and I admire the talent of some Bahraini DJs for their choice of programmes.

However, I would recommend the morning DJs change their style of programme by playing the latest music and not old unheard of songs.

Also the horoscope should not be read as it is boring and repetitive.

Morning shows should be lively and entertaining as of now they are very boring.

I, my family, and many friends wish to convey our heartfelt appreciation of and deepest gratitude to Radio Bahrain for adding thrill and titillation to our lives, and making our days and nights so much more enjoyable with their daily 24 hours non-stop music, and that too in so many languages.

They make Bahrain a truly cosmopolitan country.

I am a Bahraini by birth, having lived many years in my second beloved country India. When they started their Hindi/Urdu song channel, I was truly, well, phoolen na samaye - a Hindi expression meaning my happiness knew no bounds.

Wonderful, wonderful Radio Bahrain. May God Almighty shower them and His Majesty King Hamad and the government of Bahrain with his blessings.

Now, if I may suggest, some Persian music. If a separate song channel is not possible, then you may set aside a few hours daily in one of the Arabic or Hindi channels. I am confident the Persian community will announce, "yeh duniya tashakkur", meaning a world of thanks, and relish the joy of music every day.

A SUGGESTION to the programme compilation department at Radio Bahrain.

Please make Thursday mornings more listenable. The fare dished out is gruelling, draggy, miserable.

It is the weekend, come on, can we have good music?

Their catch phrase is, and always has been, "Radio Bahrain, the Sunshine Sound!" But lately, it sounds more to me, like a rainy day. Last Thursday evening, as I was driving around, I switched on to hear one of our favourite radio personalities and the songs that were playing sounded like something a housewife with a broken heart in the 80's would've been listening to.

I'm not the type that would ask for a certain type of music to be on the radio - hey, that's why I like the radio. But I would imagine, on a Thursday evening, when everyone is getting out of work, charged for the weekend fun, sun and evenings out, there would be something a bit more suitable to the mood.

Where is the sunshine in that "Sunshine Sound?"

It is the time to let new, young and professional people run the radio station. In the past, Salah has mentioned that the staff are trained with BBC, I think he was at the time referring to the newsreaders only.

We do not want you to have a website now; we want you to change your programmes and DJs to save the station. We have a headache from listening to rock and roll shows, wired music in the middle of the afternoon. We want young Bahraini DJs who play feature quality modern music. I have read some comments about the Indian channel, which faces the same problem.

I am not waiting for any reply from the radio station; I just want to know what readers think. With reference to the happy listeners, you are speaking about yourself only and I doubt that you may be staff of the radio station or close friends who defend them.

With regard to the commenter (intoxicated) asking for another regional radio station to listen to, you have (QBS, Qatar broadcasting station, or Dubai 92FM station or Channel 4 Ajman station).

Face it! Radio Bahrain has 'followers' that they send here to keep their rankings up high on the walls by saying they are all good!

HAHA!

Ian Fisher knows the truth! he is the only suriving member of the Special 6:

Roy Silverthorne (Roy the Boy)
Richard Riley
Malcolm Taylor
Ian Fisher
Cromer Collie
Johnny Allan

Speaking of which Radio Bahrain has lost some very good Djs partly due to their stupidity and partly because these DJs have moved on to do better gigs like:

Roy Silverthorne who now spins at REM FM in Spain (http://www.rem.fm/roy.html)

Paul Fraser who used to be the Drive Time Dj (no offence to Damian)

Ammar Ali (he died of a heart attack) -- that was an unfortunate thing to happen.

RADIO BAHRAIN WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO CLEAN UP YOUR RACIST ACT? And clumpsy music too!

I'M just 12 years old but I can tell right from wrong. In this case I'm talking about wrong. I listen to 96.5 FM often but sometimes I have to put the radio off due to bad language. Honestly, I think it's just annoying!

I'm not talking about one DJ in particular but kids listen to the radio too! If you're thinking that I'm just a Bahraini and the same as everyone else, you're wrong.

My dad is Bahraini and my mum is Scottish. So I have a point of view from both sides.

All you DJs out there, if you're aware that kids are listening to your tunes at least use the edited versions! How would you like to know that you were promoting mind-rotting bad language to the future generation?

If you swear a lot then try not to do it out loud either - it's practically the same thing!

One day I was in a sports shop and one of the customers was mouthing off to an employee not having the slightest concern that my brother and I were present!!!

Don't think my parents made me write this either because it's just what I think. If you think I'm too young to be old fashioned I don't really care, PLEASE, PLEASE do something about it.

Okay obviously, Radio Bahrain people sent their goons to defend their bad image. And what's all the commotion about getting this site banned? I mean first of all, this is a blogspot blog, banning it would block all other blogspot sites. Secondly, there are far worse blogs out there who actually swear at the government or the royal family. Shouldn't they be worthier of banning? Or is it just because we criticized a bad radio station that all went cry-baby over it? So it's ok if political sites had "freedom of speech" but not when we ask for improvement of a day-to-day issue. It's a fact, 91.4 FM and Dubai are MUCH better than 96.5 which USED to be so good. There are some good DJs but NOT all are.

Stop being cry-babies and for once, just for once admit that you DO need to improve. Thanks to all whoever supported us.

HAHAHA!

Radio Bahrain thank you very much!

you solved one of my biggest questions about the COEDs former editor (MAXMEDIA Co.) same folks who publish Arabian Motors.

Damn... all this radio bahrain bashing has brought the many dark sides of radio bahrain to light!

LOL!

OutlawProductions or DJ OutlawPeoductions (djoutlawproductions.com) is Bahrain's first HipHop Record Company, they got the license to make beats for other unsigned artists last year. Dj Outlaw brings some of the best to peform in Bahrain from North America and Europe, Asia and so on, except some of the best rappers and RnB soul folk are actually Bahrainis, and former students of Bahrain and the GCC who are now well off in the music industry.

Step in Ali Dawood:

Ali Dawood would like a pie of the Dj Outlaw productions action, now why is Ali all of a sudden interested in supporting Dj Outlaw Productions?

A year ago, 2Seas Records got formed by Jermaine Jackson and some students who are royal family members. The we had 2 more record companies starting up in Bahrain - Dj Outlaw Productions (returning Bahrain students, info/entertainment professionals - Bahraini and expats alike) and Analogue Soul Records [analoguesoul.com] (formed by ex/current Radio Bahrain DJs)

Sabah and Damian are both involved with Analogue Soul Records and the only remaining record company in Bahrain was the HipHop Label -- DJ Outlaw Productions because getting into 2Seas Records was a big NO NO for Ali.

Ali jumped up at the prospects of getting the label across his show at Radio Bahrain.

Within Radio Bahrain -- THERE IS HUGE SCARY COMPETITION just like there is nasty office politics in Regus that just opened up in Bahrain.

Now there is this major split between [internally] Damian and Ali Dawood. Suba happens to be the trouble factor in the midst of it all.

Poor Damian, was at one of the DJ mixing shows organized by DJ Outlaw Productions where 5 of their core crew were performing alongside some international acts like Big D (dmusic.com) from Boston. He approached Outlaw to audition for BJs and play alongside him (damian) at the club and later tried to get him into Radio Bahrain to spin.

Awesome some might say, but there was an unfair catch in the deal:
Damian wanted DJ Outlaw Procudtions to do HipHop mixed with trance and everyone were wondering how the hell Damian became a DJ in the first place.

Behind the scenes, Suba was working to get Ali Dawood out of the whole record label business way too complicated to explain here but the strategy to out do the competition with Outlaw Productions was to steal their audience, their stage, their music and their people. 2seas Records never posed any competition threats to Analogue Souls Records, because even if it did, there was or is nothing Damian or Suba can do about it.

Now where were we? Yes the COEDs Magazine Editor: Mo J - Why did you have to screw with her into the orgy at DJ Colletes party last month? No wonder she got fired by MaxMedia.

Bad bad djs , forcing people into non-consenting stuff! Atleast Intoxicated will recognize who this 'innocent' lady is with Basil:

Intoxicated, anything to say?

And some 'goons' from 96.5 will challenge this post saying its all Bull Shit , oh well, can't facethe facts now can we? Suba said that - didn't he now? Oh wait. he hates people who can't face the truth!

HAHA! What a bag of loose DJs at 96.5!

can we please go back to critisizing 96.shite fm CONSTRUCTIVLEY. Instead of this bullshit soap opera nonesense that is so obviously MADE-UP by somebody who needs to get a life. And it seems ur falling hook-line- and sinker mr lib teammate.. R U that naive or childish?!!?? stated again: WE DEMAND BETTER MUSIC AND BETTER DJ'S WHO HAVE BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF THE MUSIC, SO WE CAN BE PROUD OF OUR COUNTRY'S ONLY ENGLISH SPEAKING STATION.

hey shedders.. whether this shit is true or not it makes for great reading material! and why r u so touchy feely about this issue man? THIS IS A BLOG NOT RADIO BAHRAIN'S SUGGESTION BOX. So whether it's critisizing constructively or making up stories about dj's, it WILL be welcomed and posted whether you like it or not!

And also, some of these dj's know a lot about this music already dude, that aint the problem! They need to get organized and schedule the right type of music for the right times and give some of these dj's language and mixing lessons!

Oh, and what r u doing at home at 11.53 pm on new year's eve?? and u say I'M the childish one? you're the one with the curfue boy!

oh dear. can anybody just come and write anything that pops in their head and then expect people not to shoot his moronic theories down.
I know all the people mentioned here in this page personally; and here are the facts-- anybody can confirm the following easily instead of discussing fiction:

1. "Analouge Soul" is not a record label. It is owned/managed by DJ Mazin Maskati who spins regularly at Zowies. The function of Analouge soul is to organize dance events, with help from DJ Chang (no other DJ's are a part of this setup).

2. I've asked a lot of people at which they responded "who the hell are Outlaw Productions anyway?". nobody of importance has really heard of them.

3. Mazin Maskati does not work with Dj Damien at all.

4. Subah/Sabah does not work with anybody (I know the man really well. He is in his own musical universe).

5. I don't know how the poor people at "2Seas Records" got dragged into this. They have NOTHING to do with Radio Bahrain or any of the Djs on the island.

this is the only time I will send a comment to this joke of a forum only because it has gone a little too far. You are dealing with real people my friend, messing with their reputations just because you have nothing to do is sad and stupid.
PS intresting that you always use Anonymous as your identity.
oh yeah, Ali Dawood rocks... just a little less hot air from his mouth would improve his show by no means.

Can you close the comments here please! This is not at all helping to improve the music at 96.5, half the people who comment here are either goons sticking up for the conspiracy toots or the station.

Just start a new blog article or move this to a real forum (phpbb one - remember lib team?)

Because this isn't a forum either and it is becoming annoying. Stopped listening to 96.5 a long time ago as am a regular to 106.2FM (Oh yeah! NPR - all day long!)

thank u moody for clarifying any conspiracies.. We did not intend this post to recieve comments with lots of stories :p

shedders: if you're doing ur job "honey" then why the fuck r u replying ti this blog? DO YOUR JOB PROPERLY!

new year pixie: i dont know why ur still reading this blog if ur so annoyed by it! i keep telling u morons this is NOT an official discussion as to the future of 96.5! And to be honest we got radio bahrain dj's attention so I think it IS a step forward, altho there r a lot of conspricy theories here that r ruining people's reputation but we take no responsibility for that.

and EPB: you rock buddy!

Just found this site, at last other people who think radio Bahrain is shite too; I've been here 7 years and I can't stand it any more, my car radio is permanently tuned to 91.4, OK they play some shite too, like country music, which almost makes me tune to radio Bahrain, almost but not quite, I just turn the fuckin' radio off! It really is time RB got some new dj's and some new ideas, Krazy Kevin may have been radical twenty years ago but not now, Ian Fisher is such a plonker, the rest don't even register, it is time some of you youngsters stormed the studio and played something better than all of this shit they try to make you listen to, RB dj's should listen to Virgin radio to hear a proper radio station with great ideas and really good dj's with good crack and a great taste in music. It is time to revolt Bahrain, oust these ancient dj's and play what your generation wants to hear.
